Maestran™ is MaestroShield’s exclusive hurricane and security screen, made from an Kevlar cabled with 304 stainless steel and woven into a heavy-duty screen. Available in both roll down and grommeted fixed applications, Maestran has passed Miami Dade (NOA #07-0404.02), Florida Building Code (FL13663), and Texas Department of Insurance (SHU158) standards for HVHZ and non-HVHZ. Maestran is an elegant, semi-transparent, light weight and powerful shield that protects windows, doors, lanais, and other openings from hurricane-strength winds-Maestran can withstand a maximum design pressure of +/- 200 psf (wind speeds exceeding 280 mph)-wind born debis, ultra violet rays, and unwanted intrusion.
